- Product Description
The original desert boot was a masterpiece of utility, originally handmade in Cairo, Egypt and first worn by British troops in the desert campaign of WWII to stand up to the demands of the environment. These boots featured a crepe rubber sole instead of leather, making them lighter and softer underfoot. In true British spirit, and despite their intended military use, the boot was designed to provide comfort and style. It was precisely because of these two qualities that they became extremely popular in the 50's. Our Indio Desert boot borrows from the original with a simple three-piece suede upper pattern, while adding hallmark design elements and hidden technical attributes. Available in sand (tan) and jett (black).
CLOUD IMPRINT - proprietary CLOUD IMPRINT footbed delivers a highly-individualized, precision-fit experience and yields unrivaled cushioning, comfort, and support underfoot.
ANATOMICAL LAST - Our BLUPRINT natural fit last is shaped just like your foot to gently hug and never bind. It promotes total comfort and foot health, giving your feet room to operate.
M-LITE - Here, we encapsulated a hidden EVA foam midsole for a super lightweight feel with unrivaled cushioning and shock absorption properties.
THOUGHTFUL DECONSTRUCTION - The upper is made of buttery soft suede to conform easily to the foot for instant comfort. We've chosen extra-wide, flat, woven laces for the two-eyelet construction to eliminate instep pressure and secure the fit.
NATURAL CREPE - inspired by classic vulcanized designs, this bottom unit uses 3-crepe rubber components and 1 part full-length EVA, creating a novel construct that is both super light weight and incredibly comfortable. We dressed it up with a drop-in debossed leather patch to finish it off.
