Product Description

A ship's plimsoll line, is the line on the its' hull that indicates the max height for the waterline to reach under load. A plimsoll shoe which shares the name; and is often characterized by a horizontal pinline that wraps the sidewall of the shoe, is flat soled shoe with an upper made of canvas and a sole made of rubber. Also called a Sandie, this style of shoe closely mimicked a barefoot feel and was developed as common beachwear for coastal dwellers. Adopted in the 50's by surfers in Southern California, the standard plimsoll canvas sneaker has become part of a stylish casual uniform for people from all walks of life while subtly evolving into new forms. We love our Encinitas for many reasons, but our true goal was to adapt the must-have plimsoll into a casual comfort shoe that would protect your feet and provide all day wear with premium materials and a more comfortable construction.

Oh Bluprint where have you been all of my adult life?

Bilateral neuropathy, medical term yes, easy to fit shoes, no. Walking down 2nd street in Belmont Shores, I spotted some uniquely shaped shoes. I had to try them on and in all colors. I tried on the black ones and they were amazing. I tried on the nude color ones and they were a little stiff, so I went home with the black ones and went back the next day for the blu slouch boot =]
Pros: I have not found any yet.
Cons: Maybe just the multi-colored laces, but I love them.

Cushy Comfort Unlike No Other Shoe I've Ever Owned

I love the look of the Encinitas! I opted for salt because I love the unique look of the laces. When you take your first step, it doesn't feel like you are wearing shoes. The insole is so cushy like memory foam. Most if not all shoes out there have a pretty stiff or paper thin insole. Not these BluPrint shoes! Super comfy and springy! In fact, these shoes hug your feet perfectly, feels like I'm just wearing socks. 4 stars only because the backside of one shoe had been rubbing my heel but after a few days of wear, this got better. Last thing to mention, I have a pretty wide foot so it is always difficult to find women's shoes that are comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised that these were roomy enough for my wide foot, yet hugged them to a point where it felt nice like a sock and wasn't restrictive. Can't wait to try more styles.
